Kerry Katona's Appearance on This Morning Programme Causes Viewers Concern
MDF The BiPolar Organisation has been deluged with calls from both newspapers and TV studios asking for a statement from the charity about Kerry Katona's recent appearance on the This Morning show with Phillip Schofield and Fern Briton.
Ms Katona, who was on the show to promote her new fly-on-the-wall documentary show 'Whole Again', appears to have slurred speech throughout the interview and when Phillip Schofield asks if she is ok, Ms Katona attributes it to her prescribed medication chlorpromazine, which is an anti-psychotic drug.
MDF The BiPolar organisation can make no comment on Ms Katona's appearance on the show as Ms Katona is not affiliated with our charity and so it would be unprofessional for us to comment on her behalf.
Further, MDF The BiPolar Organisation would like to point out that we are not privy to anybody's personal medical records. Should MDF The BiPolar Organisation be privy to such records, the charity would still not choose to disclose the information contained within.
Our charity offers support to those who suffer from bipolar disorder, which if an often-debilitating illness and we must educate people on the facts of bipolar disorder. We do not support making statements on behalf of individuals with whom we are unconnected or without their permission.
